Jeff Burningham
Jeff BurninghamFounder and Managing Partner
Jeff is a Managing Partner and Founder of Peak Capital Partners, a $1B+ real estate investment firm located in Provo UT, which was named the 2nd fastest growing company in Utah and one of the 500 fastest privately held companies in the United States by Inc. Magazine, 2014.  Most recently, Jeff launched Peak Ventures, a $23M seed stage fund that backs the brightest and most inspiring entrepreneurs in Utah and throughout the US.

He began his career as the founder of Mindwire, a technology company, which he later sold to a NASDAQ-listed company where he served as an Executive Vice President for several years.  He sits on the boards of Observe Point, Omadi, Tute Genomics, and Homie; and served as the co-managing partner of BoomStartup in 2013 and 2014.  In 2014 Jeff was named The Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the year for the Mountain West Region.

Jeff has an undergraduate degree and MBA from Brigham Young University. He is also active in philanthropy and is currently serving on the board of three non-profit organizations. As a former college basketball player, Jeff loves coaching his children’s basketball teams and traveling the world with his wife, Sally. 

Jeff Danley
Jeff DanleyFounder and Managing Partner
Jeff is a founder and Managing Partner of Peak Capital Partners, LLC and is responsible for managing the firm’s activities throughout the United States. Jeff is also a founder and on the Board of Directors of Peak Ventures.

He has been acquiring and managing multi-family properties since 2001. Jeff began his career at Arthur Andersen in the firm’s Global Corporate Finance group where he provided M&A advisory and support services. He later joined CCP Equity Partners, a Connecticut-based private equity firm. After CCP Equity Partners, Jeff worked at Adams Street Partners, a large private equity firm in Chicago.

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, in Accounting and a Minor in Economics from Brigham Young University. He received his Masters of Business Administration Degree from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, where he was recognized as an Edward Tuck Scholar with Distinction. Jeff is a member of YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization).

Jamie Dunn
Jamie DunnFounder and Managing Partner
Jamie is a founder and Managing Partner at Peak Capital Partners, LLC and is responsible for managing the firm’s student housing and its multi-family portfolio in the Southeastern U.S. and Colorado.

He has been acquiring and managing multi-family properties since 2006. Jamie began his career as an analyst at Banc of America Securities in the Real Estate Investment Banking Group. After leaving Banc of America Securities, Jamie joined the Dallas office of Bain & Company, a leading strategy consulting firm. Following his Bain experience, Jamie worked in acquisitions at Liberty Property Trust, a $4 billion office and industrial REIT. He later joined Crosland, the leading diversified real estate company in the southeastern United States, focused on multi-family and mixed-use development. While at Crosland, Jamie directed the formation of a $250 million land fund of discretionary capital from a leading life insurance company.

Jamie obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and American Studies at Brigham Young University and a Masters of Business Administration Degree from the Wharton School of Business, with a focus on real estate and finance.

Chris Manning
Chris ManningManaging Director
Chris Manning is a managing director at Peak Capital Partners, responsible for acquisitions and operations of apartment buildings in select markets across the country. Prior to joining Peak, Mr. Manning was a senior vice president at Amstar, and president of Travaasa Experiential Resorts, Amstar’s destination hospitality subsidiary, where he was responsible for Travaasa’s day-to-day activities and management of all property operations, personnel, and financial performance. Prior to his time at Amstar, Mr. Manning was a residential real estate developer where he entitled, designed, built and sold urban infill projects in downtown Denver. Mr. Manning began his career in strategy consulting, where he worked with Fortune 500 companies and start-ups. He holds a B.S. from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
Nathan Nelson
Nathan NelsonVP, Acquisitions
Nathan Nelson is Vice President, Acquisitions at Peak Capital Partners overseeing acquisitions and operations of multi-family assets in select U.S. markets. Prior to joining Peak, Mr. Nelson was Director of Acquisitions for Restore Utah where he led acquisition activities for an institutionally sponsored fund focused on community development and affordable housing preservation initiatives. Mr. Nelson’s experience also includes contributing to the real estate investment advisory services for some of the nation’s largest public pension funds at Pension Consulting Alliance. Mr. Nelson began his career in real estate as a multi-family specialist with a leading investment sales firm. He holds a B.A. from the University of Utah and an MBA from the Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University.
Jason Danley
Jason DanleyManaging Director, Operations
Mr. Danley is the Managing Director of Operations at Peak Capital Partners, having joined the firm in October, 2014. As Managing Director, Jason is primarily responsible for the day to day operations and long-term success of the firm’s real estate portfolio and operating companies. Prior to joining Peak Capital, Jason was the COO of the Millstream Group, a privately held real estate investment and holding company. During his nearly 15 years with the Millstream Group, Jason oversaw company operations and asset management teams operating in seven western states. Millstream Group owns and manages real estate assets ranging from multi-family to healthcare, as well as commercial, residential, recreational,and agriculture. Jason also led the acquisitions and development of multi-family assets as well as recreational real estate properties such as Mountain Valley RV Resort and Falcon’s Ledge,and a diverse vacation rental portfolio under the brand of Recreational Properties Unlimited. Millstream Group also is the holding company and developer of the Rumbi Island Grills restaurant chain and has large construction and excavation company, Millstream Construction & Excavation. Jason has a B.S. in Business Management from Brigham Young University, in Provo Utah – and was awarded Business Management Student of the Year in 1999. Jason is active in the Boy Scouts of America, having served as a youth leader in various responsibilities for over 10 years.
Debra Spohn
Debra SpohnPresident, Property Operations
With over 25 years of multi-family property industry experience, Debra brings a wealth of experience to Peak Living. Her experience includes time as Vice President of WLA, Inc.; a Newport Beach based real estate investment firm where she converted over 800 units into condominiums, repositioned assets, as an owner of a small boutique property management company, and as Senior Vice President at Cottonwood Residential. Over the last ten years at Cottonwood, Debra was instrumental in building the property management operations platform from approximately 2,500 units to a high of 35,000 units in 23 states. Debra is a licensed Utah broker, holds a CPM designation, and is a member of the National Organization of Professional Women.
John Billings
John BillingsVice President
Mr. Billings is a Vice President at Peak Capital and is responsible for the firm’s debt financing, property insurance, and development projects. John began his career as a commercial real estate appraiser. John next joined the Salt Lake City Redevelopment Agency, managing acquisitions, dispositions, and renovation/construction lending. He later joined Lyme Properties in Hanover, New Hampshire, the largest developer of life science laboratory space on the east coast. After successfully selling Lyme’s portfolio for $1.6 billion, John helped form Lyme Properties 2, a regional development company, where John was responsible for finance, permitting, and development. John obtained a Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, in Finance from the University of Utah and a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Trent Wallin
Trent WallinSenior Controller
Mr. Wallin is the Senior Controller at Peak Capital and joined the firm in June 2014. As Senior Controller, Trent is primarily responsible for the accounting and financial reporting at Peak Capital and its affiliates. Prior to Peak Capital, Trent worked as the Controller / Director of Accounting at Viking Cruises, a rapidly growing cruise line, where he became skilled at analyzing processes and scaling for greater efficiency, while ensuring uncompromising compliance with financial reporting requirements under US GAAP and IFRS. Trent also worked at Ernst & Young in the Assurance and Advisory Business Services group for four and a half years. During his tenure there, Mr. Wallin worked with clients from a variety of industries, including financial services. He worked on teams to perform financial statement and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance audits, and advised on various accounting and auditing related matters. Mr. Wallin also spent three years with a regional CPA firm where he was responsible for preparing financial statements and advising publicly-traded clients in technical accounting areas, including accounting for complex financial instruments. Mr. Wallin is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the states of California and Utah. He has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants since 2007. He received a Masters of Accountancy from the University of Virginia and a B.S. in Business Management – Finance from Brigham Young University.
Kyle Oler
Kyle OlerDirector, Capital Needs
Mr. Oler is the Director of Capital Needs at Peak Capital and is responsible for overseeing capital renovations at properties within the Peak portfolio and assisting in due diligence of new acquisitions. Kyle has been inspecting multi-family apartment communities since 1998. Kyle began his career as the founder of Realty Check Inspections, a property inspection firm specializing in apartment complexes. Since that time, Kyle has performed over 4,000 inspections or Capital Needs Assessments in 36 states for private investment entities, HUD, Rural Development and institutional lenders. Kyle obtained Bachelor of Science degrees in both Construction Management and Business Management from Utah Valley State College. Kyle is a LEED Accredited Professional and member of the US Green Building Council with current certifications from HUD and the American Society of Home Inspectors.
Marina Palmer
Marina PalmerAsset Manager
Marina Palmer is an Asset Manager at Peak Capital Partners. She oversees asset performance and management operations for the firm’s properties located in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and North Carolina. Marina brings an extensive background in property management and on-site operations. She began her career in 1997 as a leasing agent for Prowswood/Bridge Property Management in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Marina quickly progressed to senior vice president with Horizon Property Management/Cornerstone, responsible for on-site operations, extensive capital projects and property renovations. Throughout her career, she has worked on all types of multi-family properties – from fully-owned to fee-managed assets, covering all property types and asset classes. She has been responsible for the successful leasing of multiple properties and been instrumental in successful transactions for owners resulting in positive returns on their investments. Marina has studied at University of Utah 1995-1997 and is a current board member of the Utah Apartment Association, and a member of IREM.

Nathan Petersen
Nathan PetersenAsset Manager
Nathan oversees asset performance and management operations for the firm’s properties located in Colorado and Georgia. Nathan began his career in property management of federally owned and leased buildings with the General Services Administration in Denver,CO. There he managed the largest federal office building in its 6-state region, working with several high profile agency tenants and on a variety of complex capital projects totaling over $200 M. He also worked as an asset management analyst for an investment group with several types of assets including multifamily properties in several U.S. markets, and has served in varying capacities with companies in the real estate industry. Nathan studied at Brigham Young University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Facilities Management and a Master of Business Administration degree.
Olivia Riggs
Olivia RiggsAsset Manager
Olivia Riggs is an Asset Manager at Peak Capital Partners. She oversees the asset performance and management operations for the firm’s properties located in Kansas, Idaho, Utah, and Missouri. Olivia has an extensive background in property management and on-site operations. She began her career in 2005 as a leasing agent for Alliance Residential, and quickly progressed to community manager where she was responsible for all on-site operations and capital improvements. During her career in property management Olivia has been responsible for on-site operations, comprehensive capital projects, lease ups, and more. Olivia has worked on several types of properties including owned and fee managed. Olivia worked for Western National Group before she began her career with Peak Capital Partners.
Ben Brown
Ben BrownAsset Manager
Ben Brown oversees asset performance and management operations for the firm’s properties located in Florida. Prior to joining Peak, Ben worked for NBCUniversal’s Global Real Estate group, where he provided financial & strategic support for the company’s global portfolio. While at NBCU, he was actively involved in the development, acquisition, leasing & management of a broad spectrum of assets, including office, retail, residential (single & multi-family), hospitality, & special-use properties. Additionally, he was tasked with provided direct fiscal oversight of mitigation & master planning efforts related to the development & execution of a 15-year development master plan of the Universal Studios Hollywood Lot. Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Utah and an MBA from Brigham Young University, where he focused his studies in finance & strategy.
Matthew Sant
Matthew SantAsset Manager
Matthew oversees asset performance and management operations for the firm’s properties located in Colorado, Michigan, Massachusetts, California and Nevada. Matthew has an extensive background in Asset Management for Multifamily properties in over 23 states. His real estate experience includes working for JP Morgan Chase and Cottonwood Residential, a Private REIT. While at Cottonwood, Matthew worked directly with the Asset Management team on Core Plus and Value-Add opportunities and found ways to increase NOI for properties under management. He has an in-depth knowledge of acquisitions, budgeting and forecasting, capital projects, insurance and financial reporting. He holds a B.S. in Finance from Brigham Young University-Hawaii.
Jake Murray
Jake MurrayAcquisitions Associate
Jake Murray is an Associate at Peak Capital Partners. He is responsible for evaluating multi-family acquisitions throughout the United States, portfolio analysis, and special projects related to equity raising, leverage, and dispositions. Jake began his career at Zions Bank, working on loan acquisitions and portfolio management of commercial real estate loans. He has worked in multi-family, office, industrial, retail, hospitality, and special-use properties. Jake has also worked in pension real estate investing, and international business development for both the Utah State government and The United States Federal government. Jake holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Utah and a Masters in Business Administration from Brigham Young University.
Adrian Spittle
Adrian SpittleSenior Analyst
Adrian Spittle is an Analyst for Peak Capital Partners. His primarily role is to assist the managing partners by performing due diligence on new acquisition opportunities as well as supporting the company’s disposition efforts. Prior to joining Peak Capital, Adrian was a valuation intern for KPMG in their Silicon Valley office where he serviced major clients including Facebook and Apple. He also completed an internship with Ernst & Young in Seattle, assisting Amazon in its quarterly review. Adrian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University. During his time at BYU, he competed in an Ernst & Young national case competition and was an active member of the Finance Society.
Graham Facer
Graham FacerAnalyst
Graham is an Analyst at Peak Capital Partners. He is responsible for managing the firm’s acquisition pipeline for various markets across the country. Graham interned as an Acquisitions Analyst for Peak Capital before joining. He also completed an internship with Hines in Houston, where he worked on a fund management team focusing on Brazilian funds.

Graham holds a B.S. in accounting and a Masters of Accountancy, both from Brigham Young University.

Scott Walton
Scott WaltonProject Manager
Scott Walton is an Asset Manager at Peak Capital Partners. He oversees the asset performance and management operations for the firm’s portfolio in Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico.

Scott’s background is construction/property management of government owned and leased facilities. Scott began his career with the General Services Administration where he managed capital construction projects on owned assets. He was promoted to manage the on-site operations, budgets and projects for the 2 million square feet of federal space in Utah. After another promotion, Scott took on responsibility for all facility management operations in North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana and Utah. He oversaw on-site operations, budget execution and project completion for an inventory of approximately 5 million square feet of space. Scott earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Facilities Management from Brigham Young University.

Kathy Crockett

Kathy Crockett is Executive Assistant and Office Manager for Peak Capital Partners. In the spirit of entrepreneurship, Ms. Crockett has served as an Executive Assistant with over 25 years supporting CEO’s and other C-level executives for start-ups now known as Sprint (PCS), Cricket Communications and even the 2002 Winter Olympic Games held in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ms. Crockett is responsible for the overall daily management of office operations and assisting Jamie Dunn and Jeff Danley, Co-founders and Partners of Peak Capital. Ms. Crockett’s experience spans various business sectors focusing in sales, marketing and administrative management. Ms. Crockett attended University of Phoenix, BSBA program in 1995. Ms. Crockett enjoys spending time with her husband Ryan and enjoying their 13 grandchildren.
John Edwards
John EdwardsSystems & Database Director
John Edwards joined Peak Capital’s Partners in July of 2015 and maintains their Database and Yardi Software used to manage their properties. Yardi is the largest Property Management Software Company in the world and it is used at Peak’s properties and Corporate Office. With his 24 years of Property Management Experience he is able to add support to all areas of Peak’s property management needs. He received his Certified Apartment Manager designation from the National Apartment Association in 1997. Mr. Edwards begin his career in 1992 with NALS Property Management as a Property Bookkeeper and worked his way to up Property Manager and started training users to use the Yardi software. In 2007 he started working as a Database Administrator for Cottonwood Residential, one of the nation’s top 50 Property Management Companies and was promoted to Director of Database Operations. After Joining Peak Capital Partners he quickly got the database up and running and continues to make improvements in the software and procedures. He has also help start two subsidiary companies with Peak, helping to improve the income of Peak Capital Partners.
Kelianne Crapo

Kelianne Crapo is Senior Vice President of Property Operations at Peak Living, LLC. She was formerly an Asset Manager at Peak Capital Partners overseeing asset performance and management operations for the firm’s properties in Colorado, New Mexico and Oklahoma. Kelianne brings an extensive background in property management and on-site operations. She began her career in 2001 as a leasing agent for BRE in Orem, Utah, and quickly progressed to Regional Manager, responsible for on-site operations, extensive capital projects and property renovations. Throughout her career, she has worked on all types of multi-family properties – from wholly-owned to fee-managed assets, covering all property types and asset classes, including more than six years of experience managing both conventional and affordable HUD properties. She has been responsible for the successful leasing of multiple properties and been instrumental in successful transactions for owners resulting in positive returns on their investments. Kelianne has worked for numerous local and national property management companies including BRE, RK Properties, Millwood Management and Alliance Residential Company. Kelianne holds a bachelor’s degree in health sciences from Brigham Young University and is a former board member of the Utah Apartment Association where she continues to serve on committees.
Kathy Felix

Kathy Felix is a Regional Manager for Peak Living for the Florida area. Kathy has been in the Multi-Family Industry for 24 years and brings a wealth of experience including knowledge of various market, Acquisitions, Dispositions, Leadership, onboarding new talent and strategically supporting effective operations. She has held leadership positions throughout her career including Regional Vice President, Regional and Area Manager for Cottonwood Residential, AIMCO, College Park Communities (GMH) and Morgan Properties. Her responsibilities have included managing up to thirteen apartment communities as a Regional Manager to fifty-eight apartments communities as a Regional Vice President. Kathy holds a PMIC License for the State of South Carolina and is an IREM Associate Member.
Annette Folch

Annette Folch has been fortunate to work with a wide variety of multi-family operators and markets over the past 25 years. During this time she has had the opportunity to work with many great companies such as the Cottonwood Residential, Related Companies, Greystar and most recently Peak Living. Annette has been able to use this experience to perfect a management style that she has successfully applied to many management scenarios including developing operational platforms, educational programs, on-boarding initiatives, and marketing strategies for lease ups to repositioning assets. Her greatest strength is her drive for success, building of successful management teams and proven operational excellence.
Dan Schwendiman
Dan SchwendimanController
Mr. Schwendiman is the Portfolio Controller at Peak Living and joined the firm in May 2015.As Portfolio Controller, Dan is primarily responsible for the accounting and financial reporting at Peak Living and for the properties it manages. Prior to Peak Living, Dan was the Portfolio Controller at Cottonwood Residential, a privately held REIT, where he became proficient in the property and multi-family industry. Dan also worked as the VP of Finance with The Accend Group, a firm specializing in strategic and tactical backing for early to high growth staged start-up companies, where he prepared business and financial models for companies undergoing efforts to raise capital. Mr. Schwendiman also spent three years with a regional CPA firm and four years with Deloitte working in the Assurance and Advisory Business Services.

Dan holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Brigham Young University. He received a Masters of Accountancy from Keller Graduate School of Management.

Stacey Roylance
Stacey RoylanceSystems Manager
Stacey Roylance has been in the industry for 5 years. She originally started as a leasing agent and worked her way to an Assistant Manager role quickly. With her strong sense of operations and software programs she took the opportunity to join Peak Living in a more corporate role where she could utilize her onsite experience effectively. She has been instrumental in the transitions of 15 plus assets while employed as the Yardi Specialist/Transition Specialist role at Peak Living. With her attention to detail and strong knowledge of Yardi systems, she moved to Peak Capital as their Database Manager to ensure effective and smooth transitions as Peak Capital continues to grow. In her career she has worked for RK Properties, Alliance Residential and Peak Living.
Nicolette Poulsen
Nicolette PoulsenAdministrative Assistant
Nicolette Poulsen is a Receptionist & Administrative Assistant for Peak Capital Partners. Nicolette was a collegiate tennis player for Brigham Young University and holds a B.A. in Communications from BYU. While at BYU, she was a part of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee where she was actively involved in service to the community such as The Buff Don’t Puff (encouraging elementary school students not to smoke) and Secret Santa (gathering donations for families in Utah). Nicolette enjoys spending time with her husband, Danny.
