PROVO, Utah (Nov. 19, 2013) – Peak Capital Partners, a Utah-based residential multifamily investment company, today announced The Links at Citiside apartment community in Charlotte, N.C., recently received the “Wipe Out Waste Ambassador Business” award for its efforts at reducing landfill waste and implementing green energy practices.

The Ambassador Business award, presented by Mecklenburg County, N.C., honors businesses committed to building a strong community while fostering environmental stewardship to reduce, reuse and recycle waste in the workplace.

Offering energy-efficient and environmentally friendly affordable rental housing, The Links at Citiside was especially recognized for its recycling services and free recycling bags. The community has implemented Green Choice organic cleaning products, corn-based carpeting and low-VOC paint, reducing indoor air pollution that has been linked to a host of health issues. Future plans include a community garden and on-site composting program.

In 2011, Peak Capital Partners acquired The Links at Citiside and made extensive capital improvements to the community, which included new landscaping, refinished parking lots, exterior structural improvements and a renovated clubhouse.

In March 2013, The Links at Citiside was nominated for the National Apartment Association Paragon Award in the excellence category. The award recognized the community as an improved property that provided an exceptional living environment. The Links at Citiside, a 274-unit complex located at 5005 Community Circle in Charlotte, offers one- to three-bedroom unit apartments conveniently located near freeways, dining, entertainment, shopping, and schools.
