Adam Copp is a Vice President on the Investor Relations team at Peak Capital Partners. With an extensive background in accounting, corporate finance, and business development, Adam has developed both financial and commercial acumen. Beginning his career at Grant Thornton in Sydney, Australia, Adam spent 5 years in Audit before joining the Corporate Finance team with a focus on Transaction Advisory. Adam next worked in senior business development roles with a focus on internal mergers and acquisitions and finance transformation. Prior to joining Peak, Adam had been working for the last 6 years in a family-owned business, expanding it into multiple international markets throughout Europe and the Asia Pacific. Adam holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Western Sydney and completed the Chartered Accountants Program

Michael Collings

Michael Collings is the Director of Property Maintenance for Peak Living, overseeing all onsite maintenance operations. Previously, Michael was a Project Manager for Peak Living’s ownership company Peak Capital, in which he was responsible for scheduling contractors, managing budgets, and ensuring quality capital work.  Michael has many years of experience in student and conventional multifamily housing. Michael began his career as a maintenance technician and was quickly promoted to a multi-facility supervisor specializing in rehab projects for neglected sites. Over the years Michael has been recruited to manage start-up and large capital projects. Michael’s long-term experience includes managing onsite budgets, overseeing extensive capital projects, developing best practice maintenance standards, and developing and implementing energy-conscious programs. Michael’s certifications include a general contractors license with a specialty in HVAC as well as a Certificate of Apartment Maintenance Technicians (CAMT) certification through National Apartment Association (NAA). 

Jada Calderon

Jada Calderon is an Asset Manager at Peak Capital Partners. Jada oversees asset performance and operations for the firm’s properties located in California and Utah. Jada’s broad experience in property management began in 1998 as a leasing consultant. Jada’s on-site career progressed with various local and national companies, including Wasatch Property Management, FPI Management, Riverstone Residential, and Trinity Property Consultants. In 2014, Jada joined Bach Homes and contributed to the creation of FourSite Property Management where she became the Director of Property Management. Jada has experience overseeing everything from LIHTC affordable housing to Class A developments, including rehabilitation projects and new construction lease-ups. Jada holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

Jeff Burningham

 Jeff Burningham is a founder and chairman of Peak Capital Partners.  Jeff is an experienced entrepreneur and investor who has founded, led, or been an early investor in over a dozen technology and real estate companies valued at more than $1 billion. He began his career with a tech startup acquired by a NASDAQ-listed firm and later co-founded Peak Capital Partners, a real estate investment firm, and Peak Ventures, a leading early-stage VC firm in Utah. Jeff was a Gubernatorial candidate in Utah in 2020 and is still active in philanthropy teaching entrepreneurship at his alma mater as an adjunct. He has a communications degree and an MBA from Brigham Young University.

Ben Brown

Ben Brown oversees asset strategy for the firm’s portfolio of assets, including asset performance and management operations. Prior to joining Peak, Ben worked for NBCUniversal’s Global Real Estate group, where he provided financial & strategic support for the company’s global portfolio. While at NBCU, he was actively involved in the development, acquisition, leasing & management of a broad spectrum of assets, including office, retail, residential (single & multi-family), hospitality, & special-use properties. Additionally, he was tasked with provided direct fiscal oversight of mitigation & master planning efforts related to the development & execution of a 15-year development master plan of the Universal Studios Hollywood Lot. Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Utah and an MBA from Brigham Young University, where he focused his studies in finance & strategy.

Alex Blackham

Alex Blackham is the Tax Manager at Peak Capital Partners. Alex is responsible for ensuring that Peak’s properties are compliant in federal and state regulations. Before joining Peak, Alex was with Squire & Company for four years in public accounting where he assisted clients in their tax compliance needs. Alex is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a Master’s degree in accounting from Utah Valley University. 

John Billings

John Billings is the Managing Director, Head of Debt and Insurance at Peak Capital and is responsible for the firm’s debt financing, property insurance, and development projects. John began his career as a commercial real estate appraiser. John next joined the Salt Lake City Redevelopment Agency, managing acquisitions, dispositions, and renovation/construction lending. John later joined Lyme Properties in Hanover, New Hampshire, the largest developer of life science laboratory space on the east coast. After successfully selling Lyme’s portfolio for $1.6 billion, John helped form Lyme Properties 2, a regional development company, where John was responsible for finance, permitting, and development. John obtained a Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, in Finance from the University of Utah and a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Kristi Askew

Kristi Askew is the Manager in the Investor Relations team at Peak Capital Partners. Kristi oversees the acquisition and disposition process in connection with investor onboarding and communication. She manages the monthly and quarterly reporting and distribution cycles, coordinating with various teams at Peak. She supports the Fund and SMA reporting cycles as well. Kristi is a liaison to investors’ advisory groups and IRAs and maintains relationships with many of Peak’s investors. Prior to joining the Investor Relations team, Kristi worked as a Senior Accountant at Peak, providing her with a depth of understanding in distributions and tax reporting for Peak’s investors. Kristi holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Utah and a master’s degree in accounting from Utah Valley University.
